NGO, Inc founder Joshua Reed had the opportunity to travel to Allentown, PA to attend the Street Medicine Institute Symposium. This high-yield symposium was targeted to those individuals and organizations that may be new to Street Medicine or in need of expert guidance to launch or enhance their Street Medicine activities. This workshop provided an instructive overview of the history, principles, and practice of Street Medicine, followed by breakout sessions with experts in the field for personalized guidance and problem-solving. The information learned at the symposium was wonderful and it is our hope that the skills gained will be brought back to Wichita and used to serve the homeless and underserved in our community.
