NGO Founder Reflects on the Services Offered By Flint Hills Community Clinic

I have been a volunteer at the Flint Hills Community Clinic since 2009. As a family nurse practitioner, I see individuals of all ages for primary care needs. From diabetes management to colds and sore throats, the Flint Hills Community Clinic has provided high quality care to the uninsured in the Manhattan community for over a decade.

Although the clinic does have policies in place to verify income to assure that individuals with the most need are receiving these free services, I have witnessed the staff at The Flint Hills Community Clinic work tirelessly to assure that those who qualify for these services receive them in a timely manner.

Working with local partners, the Flint Hills Clinic has provided hundreds of thousands of dollars in free medication, specialty consultations, medical equipment, and primary care services to countless individuals.

I look forward to the continued effort of the Flint Hills Community Clinic in their mission to provide primary care to those in need. I wish all of the patients, staff, and volunteers a wonderful holiday season, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year.

May our 2019 be even better and may the services that we provide continue to touch the lives of so many.

Winter Coat Drive 2018 Completed

Thanks to the generosity of numerous individuals, our 2018 Winter Coat Drive has been a success! We collected over 50 adult coats and were able to work with Open Doors here in Wichita to assure that these reached some of the hundreds of homeless sleeping outside during our brutal Kansas winters. With an average low of 25°F during December, homeless community members must take all precautions to prevent winter-related injuries such as hypothermia and frostbite. We will continue to collect coats throughout the winter months so please reach out with any donations! Thanks for all you do!

We continue to accept donations for winter gear throughout the year. Please email us at info@nursesglobaloutreach.org if you are interested in setting up a donation.
